About Ontario Seniors Hub

Ontario Seniors Hub (OSH) is a free, independent information hub built for seniors and their families across Southern Ontario. Our goal is simple: bring together the scattered, hard-to-find information that a senior or a family member needs when navigating housing, benefits, health, recreation, and daily life — in one place, in plain language, at no cost.

What we offer

OSH combines two things. First, searchable directories built from Ontario's official public data: every retirement community listed here reflects data from the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority's public register, and every Seniors Active Living Centre reflects Ontario's official open data for that program. Second, original written guides covering the practical questions that come up again and again — how to choose a retirement community, what government benefits are available, how to plan a downsizing move, and more. We're actively expanding this library of guides.

How we handle data

We source directory data from Ontario government open-data records and, in the case of local restaurant and food-delivery information, from independently compiled public business listings. We periodically refresh this information, but details like license status, hours, and contact information can change between updates — always confirm important details directly with a business or organization before making a decision, and consult the official RHRA register directly for the most current retirement-home license information.

Every guide on this site is written and reviewed by our team specifically for an Ontario audience, drawing on publicly available government sources, which we link to wherever a specific rule, program, or dollar figure is involved. We are not a government agency, and we are not affiliated with the Government of Ontario, the Government of Canada, or the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority.
